Our Musical Approach - At In Tune Music, we believe young singers develop best when vocal instruction is paired with piano study. During these important early years, we intentionally focus on the foundational skills children need most—rhythm, pitch, note reading, ear training, healthy vocal development, and overall musicianship. Strong music reading skills also equip students to learn new songs with greater confidence and independence throughout their musical journey. Whether your child continues into advanced music study or carries these skills into another passion or profession, they are building creativity, discipline, confidence, and a lifelong foundation that will serve them well for years to come.
Yes. Foundations in Voice is designed to be taken alongside our Piano Wizards program. Piano study strengthens music reading, rhythm, and musicianship, giving young singers the tools they need to experience long-term success in voice.
Our decision is rooted in sound music pedagogy and years of teaching experience. We intentionally pair Piano Wizards with Foundations in Voice because the two disciplines strengthen one another. Piano develops music reading, rhythm, ear training, and overall musicianship, while voice nurtures confident, expressive singing. Together, they provide young musicians with a strong foundation that supports healthy vocal development and long-term musical success.
Foundations in Voice is designed for children ages 6–10. Because every child develops at a different pace, placement is based on both age and musical readiness. Our goal is to ensure each student is in a class where they can learn confidently, participate fully, and experience success.
Students are also expected to be enrolled in Piano Wizards. If your child studies piano elsewhere, we'd be happy to discuss their experience and determine the best placement.

Absolutely. Our nurturing teachers create a welcoming environment where every child is encouraged to participate at their own pace. Many of our students discover new confidence as they grow in a supportive musical community.
Foundations in Voice provides an excellent musical foundation. As students mature and demonstrate readiness, they may choose to continue their journey through private voice lessons and additional performance opportunities.
Wonderful! Students who are taking private piano lessons may still enroll in Foundations in Voice, provided they have developed the music reading skills and foundational musicianship needed to be successful in the class. If you're unsure whether your child is ready, we'd be happy to help you determine the best placement.
To provide plenty of individual encouragement and opportunities for every child to participate, class sizes are intentionally kept small. This allows our teachers to give personal attention while still creating the fun and energy of learning together in a group setting.
Young singers learn incredibly well by making music together. Group classes encourage listening, teamwork, harmony, musical independence, and confidence while creating a joyful community where students encourage one another and celebrate each other's growth.
At In Tune Music, we believe every child deserves a joyful place to grow. Our research-informed, pedagogical approach combines healthy vocal development, musicianship, performance opportunities, and a nurturing community where students are encouraged to become confident, expressive musicians. By intentionally pairing voice with piano study, we're helping children build a strong musical foundation that will serve them for years to come.
Foundations in Voice is offered at a special companion tuition for current Piano Wizards families. Our goal is to make it easy and affordable for students already enrolled in piano to continue growing as complete musicians by adding voice to their musical journey.
Students who are taking piano lessons outside of In Tune Music may still be eligible to enroll after an evaluation and instructor approval. Tuition for these students is determined separately based on placement and program needs.
Whether your child loves to sing around the house or dreams of performing on stage, Foundations in Voice is the perfect place to begin. We'd love to welcome your family into our joyful community and help your young singer build confidence, musicianship, and a lifelong love of music.
